Another Jones saying is “We Should Not Be Getting Anything Free From Our Vendors,” which he told the Sacramento Bee on 9/21/2014.  Just 15 days prior, he had received a $10,000 donation from Securus, an inmate telephone service which bid on a pending RFP for the Department on the phones used by Jones in his County jail.  Two other $10,000 donations from the company occured on 10/4/2012 and August 12, 2013.  [Friends Of Sheriff Scott Jones 2014 campaign reports: 1/30/13, 1/15/14, 1/23/15]
